Her name is Yoko Hiraie and she is 13 years old. She leaves in an isolated and unknown village in the mountain. She loved music because she listened to radio so often that the radio becomes her music instructor.
Yoko's life was changed when her neighbour had bought a TV set from town. Over the satellite broadcast, Yoko was able to watch a real Broadway show, and she believed she could do the same. With Yoko's mother's encouragement, she headed to her stop to Broadway, Tokyo, along with her flying squirrel friend, Moo, Moo cannot understand words, but he provides comfort for Yoko when she needs someone to talk to.
Yoko also met a girl in Tokyo called Saki Yamamori who wants to become an actress.
This is a story about Yoko whose dream is to cast on Broadway.
