An expedition party of a certain university comes across a mysterious, prehistoric site. It turns out to be the sealed graveyard where a black-hearted king of the super-ancient Grongi Tribe, and Kuuga, a warrior who fought in the cause of justice, were buried.
The party moves coffins in the graveyard. The seal breaks. The black-hearted king comes to life again, and kills the members of the party to a man.
Godai, who calls himself an adventurer, takes an interest in the case, and goes to the site. There, he finds a mysterious belt.
Meanwhile, a mystery man of the Grongi Tribe starts to rage about in the town. Gondai goes back to the town and fights with the mystery man.
As he is cornered, he puts on the belt he found in the graveyard. Lo! He transforms himself into Kuuga, the legendary warrior!
