This is the story of Eriko Tamura, the daughter of the president of "Productions Tamura", a very important music company. After the sudden death of her father and her mother entering a coma state because of a car accident, Eriko decides to become an idol. With the help of her best friends, Eriko enters the "real world" and has to confront the success, the failings, to re-gain the admiration of the people, and over all, she has to learn about herself, what does an Idol mean and how much she has to give up because of that. She will meet very interesting characters, aside her friends, she will confront Rei, a famous rock singer that first gets envious of her for she having a father, later it will turn into friendship.
