TOTTOKO HAMTARO
Hamtaro was introduced to Japanese children as a series of illustrated storybooks created by Ms. Ritsuko Kawai. The book series is based on Ms. Kawai's personal experience and relationship as a young girl with her own pet hamster.
The animated series centers on Hamtaro and his hamster pals, the Ham-Hams, a group of hamsters as adventurous and unique as Hamtaro himself. Ten-year old Laura, Hamtaro's owner, and her friends are not aware when they head to school that their pet hamsters gather together in the Ham-Ham Clubhouse to discuss the events occurring in the human world around them, Most of the time, the Ham-Hams spend their days secretly helping Laura andher classmates, but sometimes these precocious hamsters find themselves in dilemmas of their own. Hamtaro and the Ham-Hams live each day as a whole new adventure, complete eith fun, excitement, and friendship.
